Last updated: March 14, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By installing or using Phantom ("the Extension"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Extension.
2. Description of Service
Phantom is a free, open-source Chrome extension that provides a voice-powered AI assistant for browser automation. It uses Google's Gemini API to process voice commands and interact with web pages on your behalf.
3. Use at Your Own Risk
Phantom is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. The Extension:
- May perform browser actions (clicking, scrolling, typing, navigating) based on AI interpretation of your commands
- May occasionally misinterpret commands or interact with page elements incorrectly
- Should not be used for sensitive operations (financial transactions, medical decisions, etc.) without human verification
4. API Usage
Phantom connects to Google's Gemini API either through our hosted proxy or with your own API key (BYOK). You are responsible for:
- Complying with Google's Gemini API Terms of Service
- Any costs associated with your own API key usage
- Keeping your API keys secure
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Phantom to:
- Violate any laws or regulations
- Automate actions on websites that prohibit bot usage
- Harass, spam, or harm others
- Attempt to circumvent security measures on any website
6. Privacy
Your use of Phantom is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We do not collect personal data.
7. Open Source License
Phantom's source code is available under the MIT License on GitHub. You may modify and distribute it in accordance with the license terms.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the creators of Phantom shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the Extension.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Phantom after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
